This week, Linux Out Loud chats with a special guest that is part of the show, but not actually part of the show. We fired up our mics, connected those headphones as we searched the community for themes to expound upon. We kept the banter friendly, the conversation somewhat on topic, and had fun doing it.

I like Mag-Neato.
I’m pretty fond of him myself!
Yay Magneto!
That was a very funny and fun interview. Magneto seems like a great guy!
I can definitely relate to the “frustrated-spouse-while-distro-hopping” scenario. At one point my wife announced she was no longer going to use the computer anymore “because I don’t want to have to deal with figuring out this” (gesturing at the computer). Since then I’ve showed her how to select the LMDE installation off of the rEFInd menu and I try to leave it be, so she can have a familiar setup when she needs to do something at the keyboard.
I love that your response to her frustration was not to stop distro hopping, but just make sure there was one that never changed on the drive.
“Stop distro hopping”?!
Gotta try them all Wendy!
