Tip of the Week:
A lot of people are starting to migrate over to Fedora and so in our tip of the week we’re going to give you the first things you might want to do after an install.
- Enable RPM Fusion Repository (this will give you access to Nvidia drivers, Steam, VLC amongst other goodies)
- You should get prompted to install this when you open the GNOME Software store.
- alternatively use the following command:
sudo dnf install https://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm https://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm
- Add Flathub repository:
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
Fedora focuses on free and open source but sometimes that means you’re missing some things you need to do your work. So install VLC to get a lot of the codecs.
It’s funny how my D&D topic got picked as this weeks feedback. I mean, I made the topic back in march and it has had random interactions since then.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s great that it made it into the show. I’m surprised that some of you are this “new” to D&D.
Also, just as an extra bonus, there’s a new movie coming out, “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”, which I am very much looking forward too. March 2023!
Here’s a trailer:
Honor among thieves was the name of a community module for Neverwinter Nights iirc, I wonder if there’s some link between
Wow, thanks, everyone - this was hilarious but I can’t believe I’m almost a year behind. Time for some binge watching, I think!
@dasgeek 's cupcake joke was hilarious but I think trumped by @jill_linuxgirl 's ascii-send-back-to-terminal lol!
& thank you @ak2020!
