Tip of the Week
What is netstat? It’s the combination of the words network and statistics. It allows you to get information on your various network connections and is quite powerful with a lot of different switches you can combine and use to gain various insights. It’s also considered an essential tool for troubleshooting networks, so it’s good to learn. You will need to install net-tools in order to use this command. Today we’re going to give you a few switches worth checking out on your home computer.
netstat -a – will list all ports and connections regardless of their state or protocolnetstat -at – if you just want to list all TCP portsnetstat -au – if you want to list all UDP portsnetstat -i – To see transactions receiving and transferring packets in the kernel interface table
There are many more powerful switches to use here so check out netstat.

Wow everyone - such a fun episode, especially at the end about SCALE 2022. Hope some time to meet you all there too - wearing some merch gear just in case - wouldn’t do not to be spoken to after making such a long journey to that destination
As for Ubuntu, have to say quite disappointed about the number of issues mentioned. I wonder if they’re only noticed on high-end hardware though, for now? Most of my devices are quite old and it’s a real benefit to have Linux to stay productive with
